OXLO commenced trading in 2015 in the shadow of Brexit uncertainty. Both Partners, Robert Harris and Hugh Williams are Chartered Surveyors and they have been in business together for almost 20 years.


Our extensive experience in the market place has enabled us to maximise an asset’s full potential whilst realising our Partner’s target returns.


The Partners have extensive experience repositioning assets by way of obtaining planning consent through to leasing the completed space. Detailed appraisals and understanding the occupational market is fundamental to the success of the project.


OXLO has a long established national network of agency and institutional investor contacts.

This, in conjunction with experience forged through holding properties in direct ownership and on behalf of third party investors, has enabled us to deliver refurbishment projects on time and within budget.

Hugh qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1998.

During 10 years in Private Practice with Pepper Angliss and Yarwood and Gerald Eve Hugh established the fundamental disciplines of Commercial Property Agency (lettings, acquisitions and disposals), Landlord and Tenant (rent reviews and lease renewals), the Town Planning process and the technical aspects of Business Rates.

Having established Prizeglobe Properties Limited in 2001 Hugh became a partner in Praedia Investments in 2005 responsible for creating a diversified commercial property portfolio with GMACCM and later forming OXLO Properties Ltd with Robert.

Hugh is married to a tri-lingual Canadian which means he is often left in the dark and is a father to one daughter who confuses him still further.

Hugh is a keen sailor and comfortably both the outstanding golfer and skier in OXLO Properties, however, to put that into some context Robert neither plays golf nor does he ski.

Robert joined a firm of Chartered Surveyors immediately after leaving school. He Joined Reading University College of Whiteknights to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor and completed the Correspondence Course to qualify.

Robert worked in Private Practice working for Churston Heard, Morgan Grenfell Laurie and Smith Melzack.

In 2002 Robert formed Praedia Investments with backing from a client where he built a mixed commercial Property Portfolio of some £300m of Gross Assets.

Virtually all transactions involved a third party Institutional Investor where he developed an expertise in Structured Finance.

In 2014 formed OXLO Properties with Hugh Williams where new acquisitions have been undertaken in Joint Venture with Private Equity Investors and acquiring some £100m of new property acquisitions.

Whilst not working Robert is married for over thirty years and has three children. He is a long suffering Arsenal Supporter and interests include the theatre, vintage watches and classic cars.
